NALTA Awards Scholarships at San Diego Conference

(Pictured from left to right are:  Susan Rondon, NALTA President; Patty McLarty; Ryan Vinson; Danielle Robbins and David Nelson, NALTA Scholarship Committee Co-Chairman)

Three individuals were awarded college scholarships during the 2005 Annual Conference held in San Diego .

Danielle Robbins was awarded a $1,000 Scholarship.  Danielle will graduate in December 2005 from Texas Tech University with a double degree in Petroleum land Management and Marketing.  She was recognized on the President’s Honor List with a 3.4 GPA last semester while still working as a part time manager in a retail store and doing her many volunteer hours with different organizations.

Ryan Vinson was also awarded a $1,000 Scholarship.  Ryan will graduate in December 2006 from Texas Tech University with a degree in Petroleum Land Management.  He has maintained his 3.82 overall GPA while still being involved with the Student Landman Association, AAPL and Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. Even though Ryan totally supports himself, he has found time to compete on the Texas Tech Football team.

Patty McLarty was awarded a $500 Scholarship.  Patty is a NALTA member who recently became a CPLTA.  She maintains a 3.90 overall GPA while working full time at Amegy Bank.  Patty continues to take 6 hours a semester toward completing her General Business Degree with a Minor in Energy Management from the University of Houston-Downtown while winning numerous college honor awards.

NALTA also paid for all of the Scholarship recipients’ expenses to travel to San Diego to receive their awards.  This enabled them to meet our NALTA members and learn more about us by attending our classes.  NALTA is proud to be able to support these outstanding individuals as they advance in their Oil and Gas careers.
